For 2025, UNESCO has dedicated this year’s celebration on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day to the “Brave New World” in the digital community where Artificial Intelligence has been playing a huge role in the dissemination of information, countering disinformation and allowing more accessibility to media professionals online.

At this event, in partnership with Story Time and AFH, UNESCO Regional Office for Egypt is focusing on cultivating AI literacy among journalists, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to ethically and effectively integrate AI tools into their reporting and digital narratives, and supporting them with digital storytelling techniques.
